We cordially invite you to the CEWIT-TZI-acatech workshop on the topic of
“ICT meets Medicine and Health”. This workshop is organized jointly by the New York State Center of
Excellence in Wireless and Information Technology (CEWIT) located at Stony Brook University in
Stony Brook, New York, USA, and the Center for Computing and Communication Technologies (TZI)
located at the University of Bremen in Bremen, Germany.
The workshop is dedicated to one of the joint fields of expertise of CEWIT, TZI and of the Topical
Networks “Health Technology” and “ICT” of the German National Academy of Science and Engineering
(acatech) focusing on applications of emerging computing and communication technologies in medical and
healthcare environments, including individual components, e. g. implantable sensors, as well as wireless
and mobile applications. This workshop provides a unique forum for presentations of original research
results as well as exchange and dissemination of innovative, practical development experiences.
